Op. 11
Op. 11 originally began life as Moller Op. 3893 in 1924 for KAM Isaiah Israel Temple in Hyde Park, IL and is being rebuilt for a private individual.
About Op. 11
Op. 11 highlights everything that makes Hauptwerk instruments so unique. The organ console was originally destined for the landfill but was thankfully saved by its new owner who chose to entrust it to me for a complete reworking. The console was cut down from its original size to a more modest and manageable 35" depth in order to make it easier to live with in its new residential setting.
The original pneumatic action had long been replaced by lighted Syndyne drawknob actions. The new owner chose to reuse these, with new custom engraving to match a custom sample set commissioned for the console.
Additionally, two touch screen monitors are installed on slide out drawers to allow the console to adapt to any other sample sets available on the market.
3 miniature LCD displays are recessed into the right jamb for displaying information about the loaded sample set.
The lighted drawknobs are fully controllable from Hauptwerk, as well as all of the thumb and toe pistons.
